Is there any reason filing a 3rd bankruptcy will not be granted?

Answered by attorney Rex K. Daines
Bankruptcy lawyer at OlsenDaines
There are several issues related to repeat filings. First is the timing of the filings. Cases filed soon after a prior case is dismissed have different rules related to the automatic stay. Also, a person is more likely have a bad-fait objection in a repeat filing. In addition, there may have been specific rulings in the first case that could impact a second or third case.

If I should file a claim, what value should I use, current value, if any, or what I paid for the stock?

Answered by attorney Marjorie A. Guymon
Bankruptcy lawyer at Goldsmith & Guymon, P.C.
File a claim so you keep informed. You may get a distribution. The claim should be what was owed as if the date of the filing of the bk.

I stand to inherit from my parent’s estate. Will this affect my Ch. 13?

Yes BUT please consult an attorney if that is the best option for your or what the best option is. The inheritance should get reported to the court when it arrives, but there are different options you need to consider at this point prior to the inheritance. I would need to see your chapter 13 plan that was filed and get more information about your case to further analyze, but yes you do need to see an attorney.
