If you have voluntarily allowed another person to use your credit/debit card, you have given them permission to use it. The charges they incur will be your charges. Essentially, you agreed to pay for their purchases when you gave them the card. So you cannot recoup against the card company or bank. However, if you gave them the card with specific instructions to use it, i.e. only in an emergency or to only make purchases of a limited amount (for example, buying gas up to $40), then you have a small claims action against the user for any amount over your limit.

Student loans are generally not discharged in Bankruptcy. If an Adversary Proceeding wasn't filed, they were not discharged. Listing all debts is mandatory. It's not a list of debts you want discharged, it's just a list of your debts. Certain student loans have no grace period for the parents. I know a Direct PLUS loan is one of these.
