What happens to my rent to own home with $15,000 down payment if I file for Chapter 13?

The bankruptcy will not affect your contract on the rent to own. The money is gone. The question is only do you want to maintain the contract and can you afford to retain the contract.

Do I become responsible for debt of my girlfriend when I marry her if she has a debt from her previous marriage. Do I need legal protection?

Jonathan Seth Leiderman

You do not become responsible for your girlfriend's debt when you marry her if she has debt from her previous marriage.  She is responsible for her debt, and you are responsible for your debt.  If you jointly incur new debt after you get married, you will both be responsible for that debt.  Unless one of your girlfiend's creditors is suing you to try to collect her debt, it does not appear that you need any legal protection.

Is it possible to sell my house before filling bankruptcy? Or will this create a bad situation with the future trustee?

This is a really bad idea! A chapter 7 trustee will pursue your "private creditors" for voidable preferences.
