How do I get a bankruptcy off of my credit report?

There is no sure way to remove accurate information from a credit report before it has expired. However, I am told by mortgage brokers that it is generally possible to obtain a mortgage two years after your bankruptcy is completed, and sometimes as little as one year after it is completed. I wish you the best.

Can someone place an abstract of judgment against our homestead?

Answered by attorney Dennis Marston Slate
Bankruptcy lawyer at Slate Associates Attorneys at Law
If it is your homestead you can force the other side to remove the lien. You will not be able to remove the lien without you paying the judgment, on the property that is not your homestead.

What happens with reposession after Chapter 13 bankruptcy?

Why is your car being repossessed while you are under chapter 13 protection? The debt should be covered by the plan. If the car is repossessed any deficiency would be paid by an amended claim being files as an unsecured debt. Consult with an attorney as to the specific facts of your case.
