Can a company withdraw from my SSI money legally?

I do not believe that they can withdraw money directly without permission. I would get after your common law husband for using your name and card illegally or else just pay it.

I need advice for my parents

Answered by attorney Michael D. Siegel

Bankruptcy is an option.  If they cannot manage their affairs, guardianship is an option.  If they have no money and no assets, doing nothing is an option.

I am a cosigner on a house and the other person has declared chapter 11 bankruptcy what are my options?

It depends on the treatment of the secured claim in the 11. Likely the debtor is trying to save the house and wants to keep current with the mortgage payments and pay the arrears through the Plan in an 11. You may want to review your options with an attorney.
