I have a financed car for which I can't afford the payments. is voluntary repossession, or bankruptcy the better option?

Neither are optimum as they will both hurt your credit. If you just allow the repossession then the lender will likely file a lawsuit and obtain a deficiency judgment for the money that they lose when they sell the vehicle at auction.

If I only had a dollar for every time I heard that from a client!  Its my experience that debt consolidators take their fees up front but nothing ever seems to go to the creditors.  Yes, you should cancel the debt consolidation right away and see an attorney to file bankruptcy.  Especially since you now have a judgment against you and no income.  Good luck to you!

How much of my inheritance will the trustee keep on a Chapter 13 bankruptcy?

That depends upon how much debt you have, how much of your inheritance might be exempt, and whether you decide to dismiss your case. You should consult with an experienced bankruptcy attorney.
