I have used Attorney Day twice now and am using her currently for a third time in a custody issue regarding contempt. She knows her stuff and I have always had a good outcome using her. I highly recommend considering her services.
At $350/hr She should be doing WAY more than NOTHING!!! I was informed after calling her number that I am not allowed to speak with her on the phone, only email. She did not notify me in advance of witnesses for the other party prior to going to court, nor did she ask me to bring witnesses. I was not allowed to speak to her during the court hearing. She didn't do ANY research or investigating. She just took my money and then just before the case went to final hearing she petitioned the court to have me find a new lawyer!!! WTF?! DO NOT HIRE HER!! Epitome of laziness!!!
When acting as a GAL it is your fiduciary responsibility to actually do an investigation in the case and not testify against one side before getting all the facts. It is very unprofessional to then refuse to change your position when facts contrary to your initial opinion become apparent. Further accuracy in billing is part of professionalism, when one can find hard evidence to show that you were not where you said you were for multiple hours on your bill it proves the billing false.
