Mr. Andrews is also a 2009 winner of The Daily Record's Leadership in Law award and is a 2012 recipient of the Legal Aid Bureau's Managing Director's Award. Before joining the Firm, Mr. Andrews served for five years in the Office of the Attorney General of Maryland, having supervisory responsibility as Deputy Chief of the Criminal Appeals and Correctional Litigation Division. He is a recipient of the Attorney General's Exceptional Service Award. Mr. Andrews served on the faculty of the Maryland Institute for the Continuing Education of Lawyers, Inc., having taught its Nine-Day Intensive Trial Advocacy Course, Deposition Training Program, New Federal Rules Seminar, as well as its Mastering the Rules of Evidence and Motions Practice programs. Since entering private practice, he has also taught trial practice for the Office of the Attorney General. Mr. Andrews is a member of the Litigation Section (and its Federal Court Committee) and served as co-chair of the Public Contract Law Committee of the Maryland State Bar Association. As part of his work for State Bar's Federal Court Committee, Mr. Andrews served on its Discovery and Electronic Discovery Sub-Committees, and participated in the drafting of discovery guidelines, form discovery, and electronic discovery protocols for the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. He is also member of the American Bar Association's Litigation Section, its Intellectual Property Litigation Committee, and the Forum on Construction Law. He served as Chair of the Construction Defects Subcommittee of DRI's Construction Law Committee.
