Representative Matters: Mr. Green's success as a prosecutor can be substantiated by a case that involved the trafficking of a minor, in which the defendant was convicted by a jury of Human Trafficking
received a twenty-five-year sentence- the largest Human Trafficking sentence in Maryl
    history.
As a member of the firm, Mr. Green's courtroom success has continued. In September 2016, he obtained a defense verdict for his client, a gastrointestinal physician. The Plaintiffs alleged that the physician negligently dilated the Decedent's esophagus during a procedure to remove her esophageal cancer, causing an esophageal perforation
ultimately her death. At the end of a two-week trial, however, the jury took only thirty minutes to unanimously find in favor of Mr. Green's client, the physician.
In another case from April 2017, Mr. Green obtained summary judgment for his client, an otolaryngologist. The Plaintiff alleged that the physician negligently left a foreign body in the Plaintiff following a tonsillectomy
adenoidectomy. In support of her claim, the Plaintiff relied on theories of obvious negligence
res ipsa loquitur. After oral arguments days before trial, the hearing judge agreed with Mr. Green that the law required the Plaintiff to produce medical expert testimony on the applicable st
ard of care, the breach in the st
    ard of care
    the damages,
that Mr. Green's client was entitled to judgment as a matter of law.
In September 2018, Mr. Green obtained a defense verdict in the Superior Court for the District of Columbia for his clients, a D.C. hospital
one of its Special Police Officers. The Plaintiff alleged the officer used excessive force when the officer placed her on the ground
    in h
cuffs. She further alleged the actions of the officer caused her to undergo bilateral shoulder replacement surgeries. The defense argued the officer's actions were reasonably necessary, due to the plaintiff's dangerous behavior. The defense further argued that the plaintiff had chronic shoulder issues that required surgery unrelated to her arrest. After a four-day trial, the jury agreed with the defense
returned a verdict in favor of the hospital
    officer.
