Ellen's practice encompasses guardianship, probate, fiduciary litigation, and estate planning. With extensive litigation experience representing individual and corporate clients in commercial and insurance disputes, she brings a well-rounded approach to her work. Ellen represents executors, trustees, heirs, beneficiaries, and creditors in both routine and contested estate and trust administration matters. She is also experienced in guardianship cases and has written and presented CLE materials on probate estate administration and guardianship. Ellen is committed to pro bono work, partnering with Family Eldercare and Volunteer Legal Services to assist clients with estate planning, probate, and guardianship matters. She has also served on the Texas Wellness Conference Planning Committee and the board of directors for the ABA Estate Planning and Probate Section.
In addition to her legal work, Ellen has advised college students at Southwestern University and Texas State University. She previously served as president of the Greater Austin Alumni Association of Southwestern University and remains active in alumni events. Ellen and her family live in Austin, where her children graduated from AISD schools. They are members of St. Theresa Catholic Church and were formerly members of St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
