About Amber Lynn Wagner

Amber Lynn Wagner is a battle-tested trial attorney and dedicated lawyer, serving as a former Active-Duty U.S. Army Judge Advocate and currently in the U.S. Army Reserve. With more than 15 years of combined courtroom and in-house counsel experience, she brings unmatched expertise to complex legal challenges. As an Active-Duty JAG officer, Amber served as lead trial counsel in over 50 felony-level courts-martial under the Uniform Code of Military Justice. She successfully tried three contested jury trials, argued dozens of high-stakes evidentiary and suppression motions, and achieved complete dismissals for her soldier-clients through aggressive, strategic defense advocacy. In her senior Army roles, Amber provided high-level counsel to three-star general officer commands and civilian executives on critical matters including government ethics, fiscal and contract law, labor relations, EEOC and MSPB litigation, FOIA/Privacy Act compliance, Congressional inquiries, and policy development. A forward-thinking innovator in legal education, Amber has served as an Adjunct Professor for the nationally ranked Army-Baylor MHA/MBA program and the Interservice Physician Assistant Program at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. There, she pioneered the integration of large language models to design immersive business-law simulations and full-scale mock trials drawn from recent, real-world cases—enhancing practical training for future leaders. Admitted to practice in Georgia and Texas Amber is also eligible for the federal bar. She earned her J.D. from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law (formerly The John Marshall Law School), where she served as Executive Production Editor of the Journal of Computer and Information Law. Her undergraduate degree is a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Northwestern – St. Paul. Amber is the author of the influential article “Wikipedia Made Law? The Judicial Citation of Wikipedia,” published in 26 J. Marshall J. Computer & Info. L. 229 (2009). Whether defending clients in military or civilian courts, advising on sophisticated regulatory issues, or innovating legal training, Amber Lynn Wagner combines rigorous experience, intellectual creativity, and unwavering commitment to achieving outstanding results.
