Alyse began her law career with an express intent to become a Family Law Attorney. Beginning with a college psychology internship at Genesis Women’s Shelter in Dallas, Alyse felt a calling to courtroom advocacy. Alyse found that individuals inquiring about divorce and/or child custody matters are often experiencing extreme emotional turmoil and that her role in their legal process is of utmost importance in not only achieving excellent results in resolving their issues, but also in easing the emotional burden they carry. Educated, compassionate guidance is Alyse’s cornerstone for providing top-notch legal representation to every single client.
Alyse is from Dallas, Texas where she attended and graduated from the Episcopal School of Dallas. During high school, Alyse achieved the Girl Scout Gold Award – the highest possible award in Girl Scouts. In pursuit of this honor, she participated in fundraising and leadership camps that led to a wonderful troop trip to Switzerland. After graduation from ESD, Alyse went on to Southwestern University, where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree and enjoyed membership in her sorority Alpha Delta Pi and in the International Honor Society in her Psychology major. It was at Southwestern University that Alyse identified her passion for family law and chose to thereafter attend St. Mary’s University School of Law. Alyse earned her law degree, graduating in the Top 13% of her class from St. Mary’s University School of Law, and as an Editorial Board Member of the Law Review and Member of the Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honors Society.
Alyse has over three years of experience working on family law matters from “simple” divorces to extremely complex matters, some of which required lengthy trials. Alyse has briefed and presented oral argument to The Fourth Court of Appeals of Texas, in addition to her significant trial court experience and multiple successes in finalizing cases in mediations. Alyse enjoys serving clients with the ultimate goal of achieving the best possible result for their individual case.
Outside of the office, Alyse is wife to fantastic husband William Donnelly, both of whom are avid dog lovers and proud “fur parents” to a Chiweenie. The Donnellys are literature nerds, movie buffs, board game fans, and foodies, and often spend time at Alamo Drafthouse Theater or enjoying local restaurants with their wonderful group of friends.
