Leave a review about your experience with this lawyer. We retained William’s services in January to assist with a sensitive family matter, with a clear timeline in mind for resolution by June due to a major family event. During our initial consultation, William presented the matter as straightforward and assured us it would not be overly costly. Based on his representations and professional demeanor, we agreed to retain him and signed a contract. Following payment of the initial retainer, I promptly provided all requested documentation to begin the case. Unfortunately, communication ceased almost immediately. For nearly two months, I received no substantive updates or progress on the case. Multiple attempts to follow up via email and phone went unanswered until I expressed dissatisfaction in stronger terms. Only then did I receive minimal case activity in the form of a brief, three-page document submission. Shortly thereafter, I was invoiced for over $600—primarily for the time spent reading and responding to my inquiries about the case
I hired Mr. Ney to handle a malpractice case and address the issue of overcharging in attorney's fees. Initially, I paid him a non-refundable amount of $1000 for a case study. However, upon reviewing the study, Mr. Ney informed me that I had a viable case but would need to pay an additional flat fee of $7000 to proceed. He assured me that he would handle the jury trial and expert witness, ensuring that the opposing party would not receive any monetary compensation. I could settle the case myself for $18000.00. now I lost $50,83.00 In an attempt to obtain information about the court dates, I sent Mr. Ney eight emails, but unfortunately, I did not receive any response. Frustrated, I decided to visit his office in person, only to be informed that he was not available. Determined to find out the court date, I contacted the court directly and was informed that it had been scheduled for April 27th. According to other attorney he waived any arguments so I cannot appeal.
