Very pleasant experience. Questions were answered and the closing went very well. We were very comfortable.

They have done two closings for me in the past, with no drama, and when I called and asked them to help with another closing this week, I was told someone would get back to me. No one called back. So I called another WNC office and spoke to Ms. Melcher who informed me she was not interested in helping with my closing because, according to her email, "you really need to research the impact on your agricultural assessment prior to closing, so we can't help you." Left me scratching my head...

This isn't the 1st time we have bought/sold a home. Because of that, there is a basis for comparison which is why we write the following. The RE Agents are really the clients and not the prospective owners/sellers. It is entirely centered around an Agents workload & expectations of events. We are tired of lawyers as well as assistive staff hiding behind voicemails & emails for communication. Logging onto a website for the seller to provide all of the information without the courtesy of a conversation from the assistive staff is impersonal & unprofessional. This type of practice only enables the attorney to make more money and charge you the same if not more for a SERVICE that was a part of the process years ago. There is/was no incentive to the one paying the closing costs to receive a discount for doing the attorney's work. We waited almost 2 hours for our funds, because the FED was unable to WIRE?? Not impressed! Have had better. Will GO ELSEWHERE the next time!!

Hired Attorney Kasey A. Sturm

I hired Ms. Sturm to write two letters regarding stormwater issues directed my property. After I signed on with Ms. Sturm, she changed everything around & made my case another matter than when I first came to her. With all her stalling, requesting more pictures and videos of my stormwater issues, I received more damage to my property than when I first contacted Ms. Sturm. After I got vocal with her law firm to get these letters done months later, I receive two letters, that were worthless. She recommends rewriting before I could read them. I requested at meeting at my property so she could get a better idea of my issues & why I needed these letters. Ms. Sturm asked if I wanted her to rewrite them. I acknowledged that I did. Ms. Sturm left my property, sent me a bill for two letters the next day. She abandoned my case and I only hear her again months later after I refused to pay the bill for no service. After I had invested almost $3,800 in her waiting, her firm did refund my $.

On advice of my real estate agent, I retained the services of WNCW for the closing. It was not until at the closing that WNCW insisted I have documentation for work that was not supposed to happen until after I became the owner of the unit. How am I supposed to produce documentation for something that hasn't happened yet? WNCW's abundance of caution was as aggressive as their stupidity.

MUGGED!! in a simple residential closing, their contract was vague, their communication terrible: the attorney never explained the process or his role to me (a non-attorney and first-house buyer), he never asked me whether i wanted to approve him to do additional work (due to an unexpected situation at the house), he never told me i was accumulating hours that were going to be billed above closing costs. then i got his bill. seven months later, we're still arguing. ROBBED!!!
