About Ms. Tracee Ready Benzo

Attorney Tracee R. Benzo is a rising star in the Georgia legal system. She is the founder and managing partner of Benzo Law, a boutique litigation firm representing injured workers across the state of Georgia. In addition to workers’ compensation, she has successfully litigated cases in the areas of personal injury, civil litigation, medical malpractice, and wrongful death.

She is highly regarded for her relentless work advocating, educating and securing settlements for her clients.

Ms. Benzo works just as tenaciously in her legal community as she does in the courtroom. She serves on the Board of Governors as a representative of the Atlanta Circuit. She is President-Elect of the DeKalb Lawyers Association and is the New Member Orientation Chair for the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association (GTLA). She is a proud member of the Leadership Georgia Class of 2018. Additionally, she is an honoree of the Women of Excellence Class of 2018, which recognizes Atlanta’s most accomplished and influential African American women.

In 2014 she humbly served as President of The Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys (GABWA), an organization of more than 850 members. During her tenure, she led the charge of increasing diversity in the Georgia judiciary, as well as furthering the group’s advocacy of women and children by partnering with Families First. Today she remains an active board member of GABWA and the GABWA Foundation.

Ms. Benzo graduated with distinction from John Marshall Law School in Atlanta, Georgia and was awarded the prestigious honor of the Distinguished Alumni Award. She is an active member of the John Marshall Law School Alumni Board, the Workers’ Compensation Claimants Law Section, the Workers’ Compensation Claimants Research Committee, and the Executive Committee of GTLA.

She has been named Who’s Who Top Legal & Accounting Professionals; The National Bar Association’s Trailblazers Under 40; the Top 100 Women of Influence; and the National Bar Association’s 40 Under 40 Alumni Association.
