Steven Gage is a dedicated trial attorney who brings experience, compassion, and determination to every case he handles. Licensed in Georgia, Wisconsin, and Nevada, as well as several federal courts, Steven focuses on achieving meaningful results for his clients whether that means securing a significant settlement or protecting someone’s future in a difficult criminal matter.
Steven earned both his undergraduate degree in Physical Education and Sports Management and his law degree from Valparaiso University. His legal career began with hands-on experience, including internships with the New England Patriots’ Sales and Marketing team and the Cass County Prosecutor’s Office, where he successfully tried a misdemeanor bench trial on his own before graduating law school.
Since then, Steven has built a reputation for going above and beyond for his clients. One of his proudest moments came during law school when he helped a client avoid jail time in a serious case, convincing the judge to impose community service and education instead. Later in his career, he secured a $385,000 recovery for an elderly client injured due to building code violations.
Steven’s approach to law and life are both shaped by principles that keep him grounded and focused. He believes that comparing oneself to others erodes the soul and that the only real competition is with who you were yesterday. His favorite mottos are Act as though it were impossible to fail, don’t deprive yourself of beauty and joy due to fear of pain, and This, too, shall pass, which guided his work and his interactions with clients, reminding him to stay resilient and optimistic no matter the challenge.
He is an active member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and the State Bars of Georgia, Wisconsin, and Nevada.
Outside the courtroom, Steven enjoys spending time with his two children, son and daughter. He’s passionate about sports, golf, poker, and classic jazz music and hopes to learn piano and play saxophone in a jazz ensemble someday. A lifelong Green Bay Packers fan, attending a Super Bowl featuring his team is high on his bucket list.
