I just finished a very challenging nearly two years getting divorced - one of my colleagues was deposed and hired Shiel to represent them during the deposition. I was present and I was blown away by Shiels ability, tenacity, knowledge and defense. I've never seen anything like it and I work with attorneys regularly in my career - we walked out of that deposition and I hired Shiel as co-council on the spot. THIS IS THE GUY YOU WANT if you are getting divorced and pushed around.
Shiel represented me for about 1.5 years for a long and bloody divorce. His exceptional, technical legal expertise, tenacity and his "failure is not an option" attitude is what allowed me to prevail in my divorce. If you're in the fight of your life, if the person you married has turned into someone you don't even know, if they've been lured into a fantasy of fantastic riches by their attorney, then you need Shiel Edlin and Stephanie Wilson. They will fight with you. You will win.
If I could give zero stars I would. It has been several years since my divorce and I can honestly say he was the most inadequate attorney I ever had the displeasure of working with. His moral qualities were questionable while is ability to accomplish anything in the courtroom was non-existent. His only goal was to make sure he and his paralegal billed me for as many hours as possible. His ability to address such an emotional situation and negotiate on my behalf was nil. His screaming and threats of quitting if I didn’t agree to the divorce during such an emotional time was beyond comprehension. Shiel received well over $100k for his substandard services. He was out performed by a young real estate attorney who had only been practicing for 5 years. REAL ESTATE attorney!
A note to all who read this. Stay completely away from this shifty firm and especially Shiel G Edlin himself. Overbilling and not to be trusted with your divorce. Trust me, I know.
Beware of this attorney. Unscrupulous.
