Linda Rowland Sessler is an accomplished real estate lawyer who throughout her career has assisted numerous clients in a wide variety of industries with their commercial real estate needs. She effectively combines years of legal experience with personalized service and an in-depth understanding of each client’s particular needs. Linda’s responsive, client focused approach creates an environment within which real estate transactions of all types run smoothly and are completed efficiently.
For the past six years, Linda’s experience has been to serve her clients in the acquisition, disposition, financing, development, leasing, and sales of all types of commercial real estate, large tract assemblages, and tax deferred exchanges of medical facilities, retail, general commercial, office, hotel, and industrial properties. Linda frequently represents developers and principals in the drafting and negotiation of purchase and sale agreements and other conveyance documents, performing due diligence audits of acquisition properties, drafting and negotiating complex retail and office leases, ground leases, covenants and operating agreements and financing documents. Linda also provides general corporate representation to entrepreneurs and other investor/developer clients on matters such as entity formation, leasing or acquisition of office space, retail space or building, and ongoing legal advice on day to day corporate business matters. Finally, Linda is experienced in representing principals/landlords in connection with the drafting and negotiating of documentation for transactions involving landlords, borrowers and lenders in settlement agreements, forbearance agreements and other loan modification documentation.
Having spent a large portion of her career prior to Anthony Law Group as Vice President and In-House Counsel overseeing the legal department with respect to commercial real estate lending and investments for a large international insurance company business, Linda has a unique perspective and knowledge regarding the issues and needs of her commercial clients in her practice today. Her expertise in that capacity included the legal and business aspects of structuring acquisitions and commercial lending transactions with multi state domestic loan transactions, secured by commercial real estate, stock pledges, cash collateral and/or other assets and debt restructures and other workout matters, most typically involving asset based transactions including commercial real estate.
After graduating from University of Georgia (B.A.) and Georgia State College of Law (J.D.) Linda was an associate with Powell, Goldstein, Frazer & Murphy. Linda also worked as an associate for McCrae, Lambrecht and Wagner representing an international real estate developer of malls and other large retail facilities and other developer/investor clients. Linda is currently a member of the State Bar of Georgia.
Linda is active in community and civic affairs. Over the past eight years, she has served as a member of the Board of Zoning Adjustment for the City of Atlanta, having served for two of those eight years as Vice Chair and two years as Chair of this Board. Prior to this service, she served for nine years as a member of the Zoning Review Board for the City of Atlanta, having served for two of the nine years as Vice Chair and two years as Chair to this Board. Linda also served on the NPU-A Board for the City of Atlanta for a number of years. Linda was also an active volunteer for Woodward Academy, Atlanta Speech School and Paces Civic Association, Board of Directors.
