Ms. LaScala represented me in my divorce case. While she seems very knowledgeable and experienced, I did not feel her preparation for my mediation was adequate. I felt pressured to settle and pushed into an agreement that did not reflect my best interests. It was a long day and I feel like she folded in mediation rather than suggesting alternatives or going to court. She told me from day one that alimony was intended to be restorative, not punitive, but in the end the amount and length of alimony was excessive. After mediation she was difficult to get in touch with, did not return my calls, and was not available to assist with finalizing the terms of my divorce for things like QDRO and transfer of assets.
