What is most important is four or five years down the line, that's when you truly realize you had a great attorney. The petty arguments during a divorce pale in comparison to the overall satisfaction down the road.

My journey with this firm began on the recommendation of a trusted New York attorney. I selected Kessler after he assured me that he would zealously advocate for my case. During our initial $500 consultation, I explained my concerns about my previous attorney, who charged over $10,000 for a legitimization case without securing basic child support. As a single mother with a special needs child, I made it clear to Kessler that I could not afford a repeat of this experience. Kessler assured me that his firm’s expertise would prevent such issues and that the initial $8,000 retainer would more than cover the case, with even a potential refund. However, as the case progressed, it became evident that Kessler and his team were more interested in prolonging the process than advocating for me. Despite my firm belief that going to trial was in my best interest, they pressured me to try mediation again. I resisted, knowing from past experience that mediation with my ex would be futile. Hired Attorney Mr. Steven Kennedy Kirson

My opinion is that this is an overhyped, overrated firm that definitely protects its own. Mr. Kirson did not defend a court-ordered divorce decree that barred opposing counsel from suing before attempting mediation. This choice launched a near five-month tug-of-war that drained carefully saved money from my family while accomplishing little shy of bringing something that shouldn't have been tolerated to an eventual conclusion.
