Mr. Jeffrey S. Gilbert

Jeffrey S. Gilbert is the founding attorney at the Atlanta law firm, The Law Offices of Jeffrey S. Gilbert. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics with distinction and a minor in Mathematics from Ithaca College in 1980, and his Juris Doctorate degree in 1983 from Emory University School of Law. After law school, Attorney Gilbert worked as a litigator for Oliver, Dickens, and Associates, which was a captive defense firm for travelers’ insurance companies. During this time, Mr. Gilbert was trying up to ten jury trials a year in both state and federal courts, which allowed him to witness first-hand how insurance companies operate. After representing insurance companies for five years, he decided to commit his practice to representing the victims of Georgia workers’ compensation cases, car accidents, truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, and other civil cases. Attorney Gilbert is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Association of Attorneys for Justice Southern Trial Lawyers Association, the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, and the Atlanta Bar Association.   Attorney Gilbert founded the Alpine Adaptive Scholarship Program (AASP), which is a charitable group that helps physically challenged individuals rediscover or learn the joy of skiing with modified equipment and special training. This organization, in addition to his other forms of community involvement, demonstrates his empathy for people who are forced to cope with catastrophic injury and disability. When an individual begins working with the firm, Mr. Gilbert works to develop relationships with the client that will last a lifetime. He represents clients who have obtained catastrophic work injuries including back injuries, broken bones, amputations, burns, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and PTSD from these injuries. In addition, Mr. Gilbert has the ability to assist clients in filing personal injury claims involving vehicular accidents and wrongful death.
