About Mr. Jeffery Rowe

Jeff is a partner in WSHB’s Atlanta office, representing admitted and surplus lines insurers in complex first-party insurance matters in state and federal court. Jeff assists domestic and international insurers involved in claims made under property and liability policies. He has successfully litigated a wide variety of first-party and third-party insurance cases, including the interpretation of policy provisions and exclusions, quantum disputes, allegations of breach of contract, bad faith, and other extra-contractual relief. Jeff has extensive experience in first-party matters involving disasters, wind/hail, fraud, theft, arson, business interruption claims, appraisal, and plumbing failures at both commercial and residential properties. He regularly advises the London Market in policy underwriting issues and pre-suit matters and represents their members in court. Jeff also has experience defending insureds in personal injury, wrongful death, construction defect, property damage, and premises liability lawsuits.

As a result of his accomplishments, Jeff has been recognized as a Best Lawyer: Ones to Watch for his work in commercial litigation and personal injury defense in Atlanta, Georgia, for the years 2024 and 2025.

Beyond his coverage practice, Jeff has spent time on secondment with a leading Lloyd’s syndicate, where he advised its claims and legal teams on a variety of North American claims, underwriting, and regulatory issues. Jeff earned his juris doctor degree from Mercer University School of Law. While attending law school, he was a judicial extern for the Honorable M. Yvette Miller on the Georgia Court of Appeals. Jeff received his undergraduate degree from Oglethorpe University.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.
