Our firm was formed in 1983 to provide a small firm alternative for real estate and litigation clients who expect the highest quality legal work performed in a responsive and cost effective way. Our lawyers have extensive experience in dispute resolution, with an emphasis on design professional defense, construction disputes, real estate and title insurance litigation, defense of certified public accountants, and all types of commercial, probate, fiduciary, and general civil litigation. We also offer sophisticated transaction representation in the commercial real estate area for both developers and lenders. Our aim is to learn our client's objectives and accomplish them. To that end, we are committed to personal attention, professional advice, and prompt action on behalf of our clients.

Mr. Phillips is the best Attorney that I have ever worked with! He is extremely professional, kind, knowledgeable and understanding. This was the first time that I have ever been presented with a lawsuit and it was complicated in the facts, not to mention the very dishonest posturing of opposing counsel, made the process even more taxing on me than one can ever imagine. Mr. Phillips very much regarded the affect that the legal ramification posed on my business and me personally and was steadfast in protecting both my professional standing and personal trust that I have worked so hard to attain for over 30 years. As a man it is very difficult to let anyone know that you are afraid and highly concerned for your business and personal future, and I was just that. However, Mr. Phillips provided me with a great sense of calm by his attitude, wisdom, intellect, organization, strategic thinking, professional counsel, and sometimes personal conversation in regards to my general well-being.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.

• Distinguished: An excellent rating for a lawyer with some experience. This rating indicates the attorney is widely respected by their peers for high professional achievement and ethical standards.
