The firm was established in 1988 by Robert P. Hein and Joe L. Fowler, former classmates and graduates of the University of Georgia Law School. Mr. Hein acts as general and corporate counsel for a number of residential and commercial property management companies. Mr. Fowler has an established general practice, with an emphasis on small business transactions, and serves as City Attorney for the Cities of Chamblee, Lilburn, and Stone Mountain. We emphasize delivery of quality legal services on a timely and economical basis, designed to meet the needs of residential and commercial property management. Although much of our work involves court appearances, dispossessory cases and collection matters in State Courts throughout metropolitan Atlanta related to representation of apartment owners and management, we also handle a wide variety of problems and litigation defense commonly encountered by multifamily property management companies. The firm is committed to continued training and education of its members and clients on a wide variety of industry specific topics. Seminars and training programs are tailored for the specific needs of each client and include comparative laws of other states in which the company does business.

My experience as a defendant was not great. In the beginning when my landlord and I alone with Mr. Williams agreed that I didn't owe any rent and that my landlord didn't have a problem with me as a tenant, they just simply didn't want to renew my lease because my pets where to big for the unit I was residing in. We did this in front of the judge, all parties agreed. So why where the papers I signed was for an eviction when i was told by Mr. Williams that it was just an agreement that I would move, at lease that's what I thought I was signing until I started applying for potential Apartments/Houses. I then found out what I had signed was an eviction document. I have since then made it my mission to get this off my name by contacting Mr. Williams to right this wrong on my name. I am now living in a hotel because I can't find suitable living as long as this I on my name. I have yet to hear anything for Mr. Williams on this matter.

I retained this firm's services to help evict a tenant. My case was handled by Elizabeth E Colston, a dismally competent woman who failed to keep up with court dates and lost my case, purely due to her being an utterly clueless imbecile. I would have been better off handling this myself. When I raised my concerns with Robert P Hein, he was shockingly rude. He then said he had another call coming in, tried to put me on hold, and proceeded to insult me to the person he thought he was speaking to, but in reality he was still speaking to me. Within 30 seconds he insulted me and used racial slurs to demean me and my entire race of people. When he realized he was still actually speaking to me, he hung up the phone like a coward. I phoned back to confront him, he denied his actions and said I had my 'wires crossed up'. This is gaslighting, and is demonstrates how bafflingly despicable he is Avoid Fowler, Hein, Cheatwood & Williams at all costs. Youre better off handling your case yourself
