Mr. Abt received his college degree (B.A.) in Japanese history, summa cum laude (with highest honors), from Emory University in 1992. He also graduated from Emory Law School in 1995, and was a candidate for law review at the Washington College of Law, American University. He is a member of the Georgia and Illinois Bars, a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and a member of the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Mr. Abt is admitted to practice law before federal and state courts throughout Georgia and Illinois.

In 2000, Mr. Abt Founded Abt Law Firm, LLC in Atlanta, Georgia on the principle that all who face criminal charges deserve a fighting chance in court. I spoke with many lawyers before I chose one and I have nothing but great things to say about Jay Abt. I had never been in any trouble before and was facing a felony as well as misdemeanor traffic case and Jay was able to get my entire case dismissed. Im beyond thankful

My (adult) son was charged with distributing child pornography. We think (my ex-husband) his dad set him up. It didn't matter though. Mr. Abt got the whole case thrown out of court because he found some legal technicality and defect in the search warrant. He saved my boy from a decade behind bars. Smart, capable lawyer. He knows all the ins and outs.

When the FBI shows up at your front door, you get very scared, very quickly. I was under investigation, and then arrest for a sex crime. I hired Mr. Abt hoping for the best outcome, but fearing for the worst. Let me tell you this man saved my life. I am indebted forever. He is nothing short of amazing. Super aggressive attack dog lawyer !!! I was falsely accused by my ex wife with having child porn. The cops raided my home and arrested me. They seized all my computers, and cell phone. Mr. Abt found a legal technicality in the search warrant, the judge threw out all the evidence against me, case dismissed. Abt, and his team, saved my life. He is crazy aggressive, and the greatest lawyer ever.

Super lawyer got me a super result. Cops busted my crew with 5 kilos of meth in the back of our truck. Abt took the case to trial and got me a not guilty. Walked out on a possible 25 year prison sentence.
