I was closely involved in my father’s estate planning with The Estate & Asset Protection Law Firm. Though he was the client, I paid for the services and participated in every step. Unfortunately, we had serious concerns about the quality of guidance and service. Assumptions were made about our relationship, provisions were added without consent (including one granting the firm authority to appoint a Trust Protector), and billing was inconsistent. Advice often felt driven by templates rather than my father’s stated goals. Communication was defensive, and we were discouraged from requesting changes. A second attorney later confirmed our concerns and helped revise the documents. Most troubling, one lawyer proposed resolving trustee disputes with a coin flip—as a serious suggestion. Based on our experience, we do not recommend this firm. If you proceed, read every line, bring an advocate, and seek a second opinion.
