I hired Blake Halberg in 09/16 to modify my divorce decree. During initial consultation I was assured this would be no problem and very easy to accomplish. Upon filing paperwork with the court and communicating with opposing counsel I was advised that the "lump sum" type of alimony awarded to my ex-wife is non-modifiable under Georgia law. This key fact was never communicated to me at any time by Blake Halberg and I had nothing to show for the $6000.00 paid to him. Had to hire a new attorney.
