Bill Gourley, a Senior Associate with NowackHoward and represents both condominium and homeowner associations in both general counsel and litigation matters. He has extensive experience assisting community associations in covenant enforcement actions and delinquent assessment collection lawsuits. Bill also has experience defending associations in civil litigation matters, including breach of contract lawsuits, tort actions and mold litigation. Bill counsels boards of directors on general governance matters, and assists associations with transition from declarant to owner control and day-to-day legal issues, including contract review and drafting and amending governing documents.
Bill began his career practicing community association law with the firm Lueder, Larkin & Hunter, LLC, in Alpharetta, before relocating to Washington, DC, where he practiced with Whiteford, Taylor & Preston, LLP. At Whiteford Taylor, Bill's practice was split between community association litigation and general/transactional community association work. Bill joined the community association practice of Weissman, Nowack, Curry & Wilco, PC in 2013, and practiced there until the formation of NowackHoward, LLC in 2016.
Bill is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the United States District Court Northern District of Georgia. He is also a member of the Georgia Chapter of the Community Associations Institute.
