Atlanta Family Law Group LLC is a law firm established in 2009 with an office in Atlanta, GA. At this office location, there are 2 lawyers practicing family law, divorce, alimony and 22 other areas of law.
This law Group from my experience is one of the worst in operation. This firm holding my money unjustly. Their intake person misleads me in thinking I had a case, after I paid the retainers fee, I am informed by the Lawyer I had no case because my desire was NOT to file for divorce and no divorce papers where filed. They refuse to admit their error and give me back my money. They have ignored the Better Business Bureau attempts to reach them in regard to this matter. They are horrible! One of their attorneys reach out to me by mail to say they will help me resolve the issue, then instead of refunding my money charged me for that email exchange they initiated!! Thieves!! Do not trust this firm!!
I hired them in October 2023. I requested a female lawyer several times and I never received one until something terrible happened and I was given one. Not one time was I asked to come in I had to demand a face to face meet and greet. I never dealt with so much lack of empathy and care. These people lied about the initial cost going towards my 10K. So many things went wrong all the time. They do not answer emails, phone calls, or the portal. They lie to turn the tables on you so they don’t look bad. Do not waste your time here!!
Awful experience! Staff non responsive, no call backs, no emails, no appts, no time for your case, repeated delays, yet somehow burns through tens of thousands of dollars. Many good reviews out there, but many not from clients. My experience consistent with the bad reviews.
This law firm charged me $500 to handle a case last year (2013), which I ultimately ended up handling myself (pro se). I discovered her through an ad she placed on Craigslist. Please be aware that placing Craigslist ads offering low-priced legal aid is not a practice that reputable law firms engage in. I hired Ms Jones as a divorce attorney. I paid her retainer up front, provided every bit of information I had to serve my ex husband with divorce papers. I sent his word address and previous home address. It was six months later before she tried to serve the papers, then after I called, said she had sent the wrong copy (uncertified) to the sheriff's department, then after she resent them, she said they couldn't find him. His work address was in a different county than my home county.
