I've been a practicing Attorney in Georgia since 1995. Since opening my office focusing on just 5 areas of law, it has now grown to nearly 172 areas. Despite the variety, I have managed to run a small, personalized, efficient and affordable law practice. I answer all my own calls and am "available to speak with 8-days a week." You will never be pushed off on a paralegal, receptionist or legal assistant when you call.
I graduated from John Marshall Law School in Atlanta, Georgia at the top of my class and graduated with high honors (Dean's List 6 semesters). I earned my J.D. degree in only 2 1/2 years instead of the standard 3 years. I sat for and passed the Georgia Bar Exam on my first attempt while in my last semester of law school. With respect to other educational milestones, I earned by Bachelor's of Science Degree in a dual-major; Social Psychology and Criminology. I then attended the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in NYC where I was a Master's Degree candidate in Forensic Psychology. I did not complete the degree on account that I had been hired by the U.S. Department of Justice as a U.S. Border Patrol Officer. In order to qualify for the position, I had to attend and complete a 6-month training course at the U.S. Border Patrol Academy, at the time located at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Brunswick, Georgia.
Following my career in law enforcement, having worked for Federal, State and Local agencies, I went back to school to become an ABA Certified Paralegal. One month after obtaining certification I began a career as a law office Paralegal, a position I held for several years during which time I obtained invaluable knowledge and experience of civil litigation and how a law office worked.
I've had offices in a number of different parts of Georgia over the passed 30+ years. However, I've been located in Athens since 2004. I enjoy its climate, the city and its people. I try to offer a free initial consultation for most things, but have to charge a nominal fee for document review and legal advice. Because of the nature of my practice, its best to set up an appointment. I usually only require about a two-day advance notice.
I am available to handle legal matters in all 159 Counties in the State. I handle cases in Magistrate Court (small claims and dispossessories), State Court, Superior Court, Probate Court, Recorder's Court, City Court and Municipal Court. I also assist in Mediations and Arbitrations.
I appreciate this opportunity to give you this background on myself. I promise to remain true to my profession, morals and ethics and never discriminate. I run an all inclusive practice and my door will always be open to anyone in need of honest, up-front and straight-forward and affordable legal help. Thank you for your time and look forward to hearing from you soon.
Respectfully,
Laurence F. Davidson, Esq.
