How long before I have access to money that was given to me?

Asked on Jul 15th, 2011 on Estate Planning - California
More details to this question:
My mother left around $15,000 to my brother and I plus the house. My brother is buying my half of the house in a year. I need $1000 right now from the bank account for an emergency. The 120 days waiting period was over in June of 2010. The trustees want to wait till everything done. Do I have the right to part of my money now?

You have to read the Trust and see if you do. You may have a right to some of the money. You need to seek the advice of an attorney and have them look at the Will/Trust. It should give the guidelines of what can and can't be done.
