Our Method
Even an amicable divorce or separation can be extremely difficult for the parties involved. The difficulties surrounding a separation can be compounded by a client's lack of understanding of the law and its process. Consequently, our office emphasizes client education, throughout our representation, to provide our clients a clear context in which to make critical decisions that will affect not only our clients' individual best interests, but also the best interests of their respective families as well.
Whether a client's issues are resolved by private agreement between the parties or by an order of the court, our office firmly believes that there is no substitute for proper preparation of our clients' cases. Our clients' situations are individually investigated, analyzed, and prepared for an equitable settlement, or if necessary, trial in the courts. Throughout our process, each client is fully involved with the development of his or her case plan, and remains promptly informed on the frequently changing status of his or her case.
Our office approaches the practice of law as a profession. Clients should expect to be represented to the best of our ability in a polite and candid manner. Further, clients should expect that our office will treat all opposing parties, as well as their attorneys, in a similar professional manner.
Initial Consultation
If you believe that our firm may be of service to you, please contact our office to schedule a confidential consultation with an attorney.
Our consultations generally last between one hour to two hours long. At the consultation, you can expect that we will first listen carefully to your situation. By the end of the consultation, you can also expect to have our initial assessment of your legal situation as well as our initial recommended course of action. Our advice will be polite and plain spoken.
If, at the conclusion of the consultation, you wish to retain our firm to represent you, we will then discuss in detail our retainer agreement and our billing procedures.
