Michael Cline is an associate in our Asheville office and focuses his practice on representing clients in general liability, governmental liability, and medical malpractice matters. Prior to joining HBS Michael spent two and a half years with the North Carolina Court of Appeals, first as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Chief Judge Donna Stroud, and later as a staff attorney. Michael returned to the Court after serving as a judicial intern with the Honorable Judge John M. Tyson during his second year of law school.
Michael earned his Juris Doctor from Elon University School of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude. While at Elon Michael also participated in numerous extracurricular programs, including serving as an editor with the Elon Law Review, a member of the Moot Court Board, and an academic fellow. Prior to entering the practice of law Michael earned his Bachelor of Science in Marine Science from Coastal Carolina University, and a Masters in Marine Affairs from the School of Marine and Environmental Affairs at the University of Washington.
