Eugen Ellison was hired to defend my boyfriend's case. Since being hired in Oct my boyfriend has laid eyes on Eugene Ellison 3 xs . He has done no Motions before the courts not has he returned our calls or went to the jail to see my boyfriend. He isn't doing what he needs to do to defend my boyfriend in the court if law but yet told him to take a 15 yr plea. Not worth the money that was paid out for him to just sit back and do nothing .
I sadly read the other reviews here *after* I had used this attorney for non-criminal legal matters. I now see the many negative reviews. He will not return my communications, despite many (many) emails and phone calls. He has not completed work for which I paid him and he is not returning any communications with an answer of whether he will complete the work or return my money. Be wary of this attorney.
Don't waste your time worst lawyer in Asheville NC. His knowledge on criminal defense is horrible actually got more time than the plea deal at court because of him. No communication and his exact words where I can't do anything else for you. Like you never did anything for me. Had fire him to get a new hearing.

I too, got scam by this person a month ago. Sad to see that I am not alone but glad to see everyone posting negative feedback here and lawyers.com, yelp, merchant circle etc. Let's not let this guy get away with it. If we can prevent his business from getting new clients then we are all doing our job. Keep it up guys.
Eugene criminal attorney in Asheville, Nc is a crook. Stay clear of this company or you will be disappointed and out of your hard earn money. I too got ripped off. Stay away.
Sick to my stomach every time I think of this criminal attorney. He keeps avoiding me to give me my money back. It's ok as long as I too will be leaving a negative message like everyone else here and as long as I am warning everyone else from not getting taken advantage I did it's all good for me. Do not use just like everyone is saying below. You will get hurt and waste your money. Move on to the next.
I am really upset with this attorney. He lied to me about how much my case was going to be. Once I gave him $2,000 down, he wanted 2 days later another $5,000 after letting me know that's it was only going to be $2,000. Now, I can't pay the rest and he basically said I forfeit the $2,000 I gave him. What a crook!!!! Please avoid this guy.
