Don’t do it! This woman will ruin your life and charge you thousands to do so. She is a psychopath that needs to be in prison instead of destroying families, mostly the children.
She makes a living off of overbilliing, charging hundreds in late fees, and suing former clients who've already paid her thousands. Go to the Fairfax County General District Court Case Information System site and search Civiil cases by her last name. You will see the list of her victims. She was publicly reprimanded by the Virginia Bar in 2017 for continuing to try to collect money from a client she'd sued after they had filed for bankruptcy and the court had ordered a stay on debt collections which she was aware of. She's an unethical attorney and a bully, and she's got more Bar discipline coming her way as a result of her lack of professional conduct. Consider this a warning (unless you want to be added to her victim list). You wheel and deal like this attorney, and it's going to come back to bite you. She clearly hasn't learned that yet though.
Tara was hired for my child custody case. She sent me a draft of a motion, to which I provided edits, then she filed the wrong version of the motion and charged me for her time “editing”. She later contacted me from her personal phone, which I did not know was her personal number, so when I continued to contact her on the number with questions because I couldn’t get a response to my emails she very rudely told me to never contact her on that number again, and withdrew from my case without even communicating with me less than 2 weeks from my court date. She has been publicly admonished by the Virginia Bar Association for other unprofessional conduct in 2017. BE WARNED
The biggest mistake I could make hiring a lawyer was Tara. She cost me my child which I have not seen in over a year. As a mother the worst thing to have happen is to lose a child. I fired her and she continued to email opposing party and show up to hearings. She over-billed, withheld pertinent information regarding custody and seeing my own child without further payment, was unprofessional, and she bullied me for funds after I had filed bankruptcy and tried to sue me. I sued her and won.
