I have used her in the past and she did fine as long as it was given to her on a silver platter. Upon showing for court she had no knowledge as to the details of the Stop/Arrest, nor did she attempt to look for the best option for the situation. Instead she just went with what the D.A. told her. If you need someone to file your papers she does a good job but use caution when you need someone to help when you need it most.
Kathy Lowthrop is a horrible lawyer she’d left me to go to jail after being paid to get my warrants reinstated she partially done her job so I later still on good faith try and register for labor detail and was told I still had active warrants… My wife called Kathy and her office immediately they (her assistant) & Kathy did not even want to assist my wife barley responded to a (PAID CLIENT)with details on why I was arrested Kathy told my wife there’s nothing she can do and quit while I was in Jail telling her the judge wouldn’t give me another chance etc etc My wife next day call Mark Scott and hired him immediately and Scott reinstated both warrants and labor details same day no hassle not sure what the problem here was I paid with no problems and was even willingly to pay again this time but I will be asking for a FULL REFUND
My legal fees paid. For plea bargain $850, I received no plea bargian. Cathy baderged me and my boyfriend for days attempting to collect the $4,000 to take my case to trail. All charges in my case were eventually dismissed pro se. I did not have an attorney the day it was dismissed. I hired a second attorney for $3,000 due to Cathy's ineffective legal counsel. I was falsely arrested with no probable cause based upon false statements from Chasewood Oaks Condominiums President, Attorney and Property Management. In February 2020, Chasewood Oaks incurred a total sewerline failure; therefore, became involved in insurance fraud. Cathy was charging me fees for her to protect Chasewood Oaks Condominiums and the Arlington Police Department. The Judge Magistrate finally after months ordered Cathy to remove herself from my case and severe our legal relationshp the district attorney dismissed all charges due to prosecutorial discretion.
