Peter DeFilippis, founder and principal trial attorney, graduated from Fordham University in 1985. He received his Juris Doctor Degree from Seton Hall Law School in 1988. He was admitted to the practice of law for the States of New York and New Jersey that same year. He is also admitted to practice in Federal Court in both the Southern and Eastern Districts.

He is a New York County Judicial Delegate and serves as a member of one of the Judicial Selection Committees responsible for interviewing prospective judges seeking an endorsement for election or reelection. He was the Vice-Chair of a Law Committee for the County of New York. Since 1998 he has also volunteered his time as a Covenant House mentor and as a volunteer with New York Cares. He is a former member of the Board of Directors for Days of Wonder, a not-for-profit daycare center located in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. He is presently a member of the Parish Council for the Sacred Heart Church in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.
