I had always heard that Melanie Blackburn was an amazing lawyer then I made the mistake of hiring her. I hired her as my divorce attorney and that was the biggest mistake of my life. Not only was she slow and mostly unresponsive she had no backbone going up against BeBe Bridges. I asked several times for Ms. Bridges to be removed due to her representing me in a prior custody case to which, Melanie made several excuses as to why she shouldn't be removed. I need to add that after 40yrs of marriage Melanie didn't feel my time was worth alimony, she just gave me threatened warnings as to what she felt the judge might do if I asked for alimony instead of leaving it in the courts hands. Melanie broke me down to the emotionally abused woman I was when I left my marriage and filed for divorce. Needless to say I would never recommend Melanie to anyone.
