C. Austin McDaniel received his B.S. in 2004 from Clemson University and earned his J.D. in 2007 from the Appalachian School of Law where he was the recipient of the Best Oral Advocate Award. Mr. McDaniel began his legal career with the Eighth Circuit Solicitor's Office serving for three years as an assistant solicitor in Abbeville County and as Deputy Solicitor of Newberry County. During his tenure, he tried numerous General Sessions cases ranging from Drug Distributions to violent Assault and Batteries and Burglaries.
While employed at the Solicitor's Office, Mr. McDaniel was certified at the Criminal Justice Academy as a DataMaster operator. He participated in the training of the Blood Hound Unit and actively assisted federal and local law enforcement with search warrant executions including the raid of a Methamphetamine lab, entry into known drug houses and the eradication of clandestine marijuana fields. Mr. McDaniel is currently in private practice with Mr. Ronnie M. Cole at Cole Law Firm in Anderson and Greenville, S. C. where he has assisted in the evaluation of numerous DUI cases in addition to successfully negotiating and trying cases to favorable outcomes.
