About Christopher Charles Canterbury

Christopher Canterbury has been practicing law for more than 20 years. He focuses on torts and commercial litigation and is licensed to practice in Alaska and Washington. Prior to joining Kelley & Canterbury LLC in 2000, Chris clerked for U.S. District Court Judge James Singleton. Chris received his Bachelor of Arts in English from Hamilton College in central New York and his Juris Doctor from Columbia University School of Law in New York City. Chris is a member of the Valley Bar Association, Alaska Bar Association, and Alaska Association for Justice (formerly The Alaska Association of Trial Lawyers). Chris is passionate not only about practicing law but also connecting with and improving the Alaska community. Chris is a past board member for FOCUS, Inc., which serves children with special needs in the Chugiak / Eagle River community. He has also volunteered for both the Anchorage and Mat-Su Youth Court programs. In addition, he volunteers his time on the board of the Mustang Hockey Association, coaching baseball for Knik Little League and hockey for the Mustang Hockey Association. The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.
