The firm was originally founded by Oris L. Barney in the early 1930's. Leslie Pain joined the firm as a partner in the mid 1950's. Pain and Garland continue to serve clients throughout western Oklahoma that were represented for years by Oris L. Barney.
I didn't have much to discuss with him but he was very polite, professional, and completely responsive.
My brother and I were quarreling about the way my brother was handling his job as Power of Attorney for my mother. Feelings were strong. My brother's lawyer wanted a real fight, but John said this would help the lawyer's income much more than solving our problems. He handled the whole group of us (my brother and I plus spouses, my brother's lawyer) skillfully and with respect. The issue was settled satisfactorily for my brother and me; a serious rift in the family was avoided.
Terrible. Slow. Lazy. Pompous. Inconsiderate. Do not hire this man. Fair and speedy trial is Not what you will get. And does not care nor even try for a resolution. Not one care given for parties involved, just la-de-da and ensuring everyone gets paid Except the rightful heir. Sheer laziness and greed on their part, as well as the court. Spends more time "visiting" with the other side's lawyer than fighting for what is right. Maybe he forgot what his job is ? Or that he is trying to reach the finish line ? He is practically laying down in his chair as well as laying down on the job. He is the definition of Justice Delayed is Justice Denied.
