Mr. Holmes joins the Morgan & Morgan team as a Premises Liability Attorney in the Atlanta, GA group. He has over ten years of experience in both civil and criminal litigation as a lead, co-lead, and assisting trial litigator. Most recently, Mr. Holmes was Chief Senior Assistant District Attorney with the Fulton County District Attorney's Office. During his tenure, he managed cases from thefts to homicides, inception through trial, sentencing, and appeals.
Mr. Holmes has also managed personal injury, premises liability, and medical malpractice cases in his role as "of counsel" for an Atlanta-area law firm from the initial intake through settlement. During that time, Mr. Holmes's trial work included handling pretrial motions, meditation, and trial procedures. He brings a wealth of experience, knowledge, and skill to the experienced Morgan & Morgan trial team.
As a former prosecutor, Matt brings that same approach to investigation, and advocating for justice on behalf of his clients. The Morgan & Morgan motto "for the people" represents a set of values that Mr. Holmes believes in, and it is how he approaches the practice of law.
Outside of work, Matt is supported by his wife, Sydney, and two daughters, who are avid soccer players. Most weekends, you can find him somewhere in the Metro area cheering on one of his daughter's teams to victory.
