Marcy served as the Guardian Ad Litem in my custody case, and what followed changed my daughter’s life in the worst way. When my daughter was seventeen and a half, she had the courage to leave her father for good. For five long years, she had lived under a custody order that I believe was harmful and unjust—an order recommended by Marcy Millard and Dr. Nancy McGarrah. They were supposed to protect her best interests, but instead, in my view, they were deceived by her father’s carefully staged “great dad” act during supervised visits. Once supervision was lifted, the house went dark again—literally and emotionally. Marcy knows full well that I was threatened with a lot behind the scenes, and all GALs should know that “at the end of the day,” judges don’t have time to do their due diligence, and they very much rely on a GAL to do so. (Reform is needed here.) In my opinion, this reform must start with limiting the power of a GAL — in my case, Marcy Millard. #OneMomsBattle
