Phil's academic journey began at Messiah College, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Studies in 2008. Prior to attending Duquesne University School of Law in 2011, he returned to his hometown of Altoona, Pennsylvania, to work as a grant writer. In this role, he was instrumental in securing funding to restore and rejuvenate a community center within an abandoned church building. His efforts led to the rebuilding of neighborhood sidewalks and the establishment of several community parks and programs. During his time at Duquesne, Phil honed his real estate acumen through the Urban Redevelopment Practicum and an internship with Rice Energy. This experience opened doors for him in the energy sector post-graduation, where he further developed his legal and real estate prowess. Eventually, after relocating to the North Hills, he shifted his focus back to his community, aiming to apply his skills and experience locally.
