Chris Abernethy, now retired, founded his law office in Allison Park, Pennsylvania, following his graduation from Duquesne University School of Law. Over his career, Chris honed successful strategies in estate planning, probate, real estate, and business law, earning an A-V Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell in 2013, a distinction held by only 5% of attorneys nationwide. Recognized as a Five-Star Professional Estate Planning Attorney by Pittsburgh Magazine in 2014 and 2015, Chris has served as a certified member of the AARP Legal Services Network and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, both requiring extensive experience and comprehensive legal acumen. A graduate of Shady Side Academy, Chris obtained a B.A. from Dickinson College before earning his J.D. from Duquesne University. Outside his legal work, he held leadership roles as past-president and life-long member of the Rich-Mar Rotary Club and co-founder of the Hampton Soccer Club. He also served as chairman of the Hampton Government Study Commission. Married with two grown children and two grandsons, Chris enjoys gardening, golf, and travel.
