After 26 years of public service as a military officer and attorney, in 1997 Fred Arquilla established the Law Office of Arquilla & Poe, PLC. His vision was to offer high quality and affordable legal services to others in the public service community — military members, government employees, family members — as well as to other residents of Northern Virginia in the counties of Fairfax, Prince William, Stafford and Arlington and the City of Alexandria.

I worked with Fred Arquilla and Hana Zekrya at Arquilla Law, PLC to get divorced from my former spouse. Fred is an expert at military matters which was important since my former spouse was in the military and this makes for a more complex divorce. Fred and Hana always responded to me in a timely manner, made sure I understood everything and answered any questions I had. I felt completely safe and that my needs were met by this law firm’s services. I ended up getting exactly what I wanted in the divorce settlement and I would work with Fred and Hana again. Divorce is not a pleasant process, but with Fred's representation I knew I had a solid advocate who would be compassionate toward me but would also provide blunt, pragmatic advice when I needed it. He helped me through the process, and along the way demonstrated that his long experience has provided him with insights into how the "other side" will behave that I would not have received from a lesser attorney. Fred's knowledge of military processes and how the law applied to military couples was invaluable in my case as well.

Mr. Arquilla led us through a military discharge review process, and his experience as a military attorney and judge was invaluable. He did not profess to know everything (how refreshing is that?), but spent time researching the issues and listened intently. Fred helped us navigate the complexities of the procedure and worked WITH us to produce a complete and compelling package for submission. His written statement to the Board of Review was masterful - it was clear and persuasive while referencing the appropriate sections of the Military Code and regulations. The Board granted our petition, and we will always be grateful for Fred's representation.

Without hesitation, I would highly recommend Mr. Fred Arquilla to anyone in need of representation in divorce proceedings. He was nothing short of amazing in all aspects of my divorce, which included dealing with a very stressed-out client. I know I posed the same questions in different formats on multiple occasions, but Mr. Arquilla always spoke to me in a kind and calm manner. He is steady, diligent, and extremely knowledgeable. Although he had everything but the kitchen sink thrown at him by the opposing party and his counsel, he handled their shenanigans with posture and professionalism. Mr. Arquilla’s rates are more then competitive. He offers a free consultation to anyone looking to retain counsel and I would encourage anyone reading this review to meet with him.

As soon as I met Fred, I knew I was dealing with one of the best. I was so nervous to begin the process of divorce, and Fred, with his professional and personal manner, gave me the confidence I needed to move forward. Even though I was overwhelmed with my situation, he got to the heart of my case quickly and was able to present my complaints effectively and succinctly to opposing counsel. Right from the beginning, he was two steps ahead of them. Fred is a stand-up individual who works with true integrity. Something that meant a lot to me- he strived to save me money in fees whenever possible. Plus, his hourly rate is the lowest I have seen, and the consultation was even free! My (ex) husband is a persistent individual. He tried to throw spokes in the process at every turn. Good thing Fred does not take any nonsense. He is a very cool, reasonable and fair person, but is not afraid to play hardball when needed. Make the appointment. You will be glad you did.

Fred and his team are seasoned professionals. I had multiple issues with a vindictive woman and we were awarded the divorce (even though the Ex bought suit), We won a Custody Battle when the Ex wanted to pull my children out of state, and the Team just got my Ex to sign a $40,000 2 party IRS check that she refused to sign for 6 months. I can't say enough good things about this team. This is the place to go to find a winning honest, consciences, and humble Legal Team!!

During my six-month separation, Fred provided me with wise counsel, fully explaining available options, in response to developing situations/difficult interactions with my wife that ensued. In following Fred's expert legal advice as we collaborated on the "Separation and Property Settlement Agreement", I was able to minimize the financial impact of the divorce.
