Mr. Muehlenweg has practiced law since 1980. He was a founding member of the firm in 1993 and is the managing partner of the firm. His practice involves a wide range of business and commercial law matters including drafting and negotiating contracts, organization of business entities, owner relationship issues, buying and selling of businesses, banking and financing transactions (representing both financial institutions and borrowers), contract disputes, shareholder/member disputes, director and officer liability matters, business succession planning and estate planning, intellectual property rights and buying, selling and leasing of real estate. He regularly represents closely held businesses in a general counsel role providing advice on a wide range of company operational matters. He has extensive experience in real estate finance, lease and sales transactions. He has represented many businesses in a variety of commercial litigation matters including breaches of contract, covenants not to compete, shareholder/member disputes and UCC matters.
Mr. Muehlenweg is an Albuquerque native. He practiced law in California for a year after law school while his wife completed her internship in clinical psychology. Although an avid water sports fan who loves the beach, he and his wife elected to return to New Mexico to enjoy the wide open spaces and less crowded life style of New Mexico.
