Joyce M. Gentry

She’s a capable lawyer, but a deeply unpleasant person. She seems to take pleasure in stirring conflict and using tactics that skirt ethical boundaries. Her approach often turns legal matters into theatrical displays of cruelty, amplifying harm under the guise of advocacy. If there’s any justice in the universe, she’ll have to live with the fallout of the damage she so eagerly helps create.

Joyce is so professional and knowledgeable. She psychoanalyses her opposing parties by passing judgements without ever interacting with individuals. Her ability to become personally invested in cases and their outcomes demonstrates how truly compassionate she is to her clients. She proved to be a true friend and confidant. She even shared her personal cell phone with me so I can call and text her whenever I want! She is very personally driven and uses various tactics to intimidate but it’s all in the name of Justice. I cannot say how much I recommend Joyce.

Joyce is one of the best attorneys ive ever dealt with. She knows the New Mexico Court System extremely well and will guide you through each situation with carefully. I have recommended several friends to Joyce and they have all been very satisfied.

In all aspects, Joyce kept the best interest of the child (my child) as the driving force behind all her recommendations.

My experience with Joyce has been excellent. My family and I were trying to relocate to another state. When we requested her services she said from the beginning that it would be very hard. She was honest right from my first consultation. It took a good two years to finally get my family where we are today but it wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for Joyce. She is thorough in all the work she does. She is honest and communicates with her clients efficiently.

Very knowledgeable. Prompt return of phone calls. Was able to produce results in less time than it took for the first lawyer I hired to DO NOTHING. She always had my best interest as her primary goal, and also demonstrated understanding and compassion for me during this difficult time.

There are sadly some poor reviews of Joyce out there. Most of them seem to be written by exes of people who employed Joyce. She's fantastic. If you have the money, she's a good investment. However, she's expensive for this middle class single momma. That stated, I think her strategy and ability to work with the ex's attorney saved me 10s of thousands in fees for custody evals, discovery, etc. So I'm really happy with her. I'd highly recommend her to others.

In my opinion based on what she said she would do and what she did, all she did was bill me and mislead me. She refused to submit evidence that she knew would assist me and protect my minor child. She also filed my address with the court wrong when she had my correct address. She has done many things that appear very unethical does not seem willing to help clients, in my opinion just overcharge.
