About Harold O. Atencio

Harold O. Atencio is a native of New Mexico, Graduated from the University of New Mexico Cum Laude in General Honors in 1985; and obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of New Mexico in 1988. He was admitted to the New Mexico Bar in 1988.

Mr. Atencio is a fellow of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys, a member of The Adoption and Foster Care Alliance of New Mexico. He is the former President of The Adoption and Foster Care Alliance of New Mexico, and past Chair of its Legislative Committee.

Harold O. Atencio is a member of the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys and the past Chair of the New Mexico Forum.

Mr. Atencio is a former Insurance Defense Attorney, during which time he litigated cases on a frequent basis.

Hal is also an avid runner, having completed 15 marathons (3:14 best time) and many 10k runs (39:30 Personal Record). He was also the Race Director for the 2005 Albuquerque Tricentennial 1/2 Marathon.

Hired Attorney

This man saved my family. He is an amazing individual and has immense knowledge of his profession. Mr. Atencio and his team have every imaginable resource to help with any case. No matter what it thrown his way this man will seek to find answers and strategies to best suit any situation. He has an amazing set of contacts and other professionals to support his wide range of practice. His presence in court is respectable and strong. Don't go anywhere else stick with Hal Atencio!

I go to him as my first line for information. If he doesn't have the answer he tells me where to find the answer or he finds the answer for me. I trust him with ALL aspects of my company's and my personal law problems.
