Greg Abel is a personal injury lawyer at Parnall Law Firm, bringing with him 17 years of experience as a trial lawyer in Illinois before joining the firm. His practice at Parnall Law focuses on plaintiff's personal injury cases, specifically those related to automobile, truck, and motorcycle accidents.
Greg Abel's involvement with motor vehicle accidents predates his legal career. After graduating from high school in southern Indiana, he managed his family's business, which included a farm and auto body shop. Following the sale of the family business, Greg managed another auto body shop and worked for an insurance appraisal company. Eventually, he decided to pursue a career as a lawyer.
He earned an undergraduate degree in political science from Indiana University Southeast in 1997. Greg then attended Southern Illinois University School of Law, where he obtained his J.D. in 2000. During law school, Greg Abel demonstrated his interest in helping others by tutoring first-year contract law students and volunteering in an elder law clinic to assist low-income clients with their legal needs.
After completing law school, Greg worked for three years at a firm in Mattoon, Illinois, and later spent 14 years at the law firm of Hausmann-McNally, S.C., where he served as the lead attorney in the Decatur, Illinois office.
In his personal life, Greg Abel is married to Dorene, and they have two children named Jennifer and Robert. Outside of his legal work, Greg pursues a passion for auto racing during his spare time.
